Chuck’s Towing, Inc. in Morro Bay has a Tow Truck Driver position available. 

We are a small and typically fast-paced towing company looking for a self-motivated individual who is able to work independently, values customer service, is a team player, and has a positive attitude. 

We provide roadside assistance in Los Osos, Morro Bay, and Cayucos. 

We work with AAA, City of Morro Bay, Sherriff's Department, California Highway Patrol, and our local community.

Our hours are 24 hours, 7 days a week.  


Tasks: 

-Roadside assistance: tire changes, jump starts, fuel delivery, lock-outs, battery replacements, local tows, and occasional long-distance tows. 

-Fill out invoices, complete CHP paperwork, collect payment (process credit card payments).

-Keep tow trucks and service vehicle clean and safe, inside and out.

-Regularly help clean and maintain tools and equipment

-Help with tow trucks and service vehicle’s repairs and maintenance

-Help with yard and shop maintenance


Requirements: 

-Valid California driver's license 

-Large truck driving experience (preferred)

-Must be 25 years or older

-A relatively clean driving record

-Must pass a AAA background check

-Must pass a California Highway Patrol live scan

-Must pass a drug test (and continue to pass random drug tests throughout employment)

-Ability to learn and use dispatching and invoicing app’s / software

-Must complete all assigned AAA training

-Within (12) months of employment, must have an “Essentials of Standard Duty Towing & Recovery Certificate,” issued by Emergency Road Service Coalition of America (if you do not have a current certificate, we will enroll you in a course in order to give you the opportunity to gain this certificate)

-Basic phone skills

-Ability to lift 50 pounds 

-Ability to work during the day, 5 days a week (including weekends)

-Ability to work during the night,1-4 nights a week (on-call)

-Needs to live within 20 minutes of shop location to meet emergency call requirements

-Hourly compensation is based on experience (please provide your desired hourly rate)

Shifts:

-During Training: 5 day shifts a week, Monday through Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm

-After Training: 3-5 day shifts and 1-3 night shifts, including weekends
